Honda Amaze Involved In A Major Crash At High Speed – See The Impact

Check out the build quality of Honda Amaze after it was involved in a high speed accident. The sedan has received a 4-star safety rating in NCAP tests.

Honda Amaze has received a 4-star safety rating in the Indian NCAP crash tests. That makes it one of the safest sedans in the country, sharing the limelight with Ford Aspire. Here is an example of the build quality of Honda Amaze in a recent accident. Check out the impact ahead.

As you can see the photos, the car has gone through a severe accident at a speed of 80 km/hr. The driver side has seen the most impact and looks like it was not an head on collision. The bumper unit has come off and the side fenders have also been damaged. The headlamps and tyres have also been affected.

Luckily, the damage has not reached the engine bay although the interior cover for fender has come out. The airbags did not deploy, which the owner has issued a complaint for. He said that the seat belt was worn, but still the airbags did not come out. Although, the owner got out completely safe without any injuries.

The impact is on the side and not on the front. The front airbags sensor is located behind the bumper on the front, while here, the impact is on the side. In case if the car has six airbags, then they would have deployed immediately. The bumper has definitely come out, but due to the side impact.

Honda Amaze gets dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera and ISOFIX as safety features. It comes with a 4-star safety rating for the adults but a poor 1 star rating for the child occupants, because of the anchorages not being present. Prices of the sedan start at Rs 6.17 Lakhs up to Rs 9.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
