At any one time Honda aims to have up to 8,000 approved used cars available through its programme via its 200-strong dealer network. Hondas up to eight years old are offered; models from other marques are available, too, if they’re less than five years old.
As is becoming the norm with such schemes, the brand offers complimentary drive-away insurance, but whereas most rivals provide seven days’ cover, Honda only includes five. Its exchange scheme is on par with most rivals, as it’s set at 30 days or 1,000 miles.
You’ll get the balance of the standard three-year warranty if you buy a fairly new car, as with many rivals; buy an older model and this reverts to 12 months. Whatever the car’s age, a year’s breakdown cover is included, and if the supplying dealer carries out the work, it will test the car each year at a reduced rate.
