There’s a two-tier scheme from Maserati, the main one being for cars that have covered less than 100,000km (62,500 miles) in less than five years. Any model eligible must have been maintained by a franchised dealer, can’t have been modified and must never have been used in motorsport. All cars have to go through a 120-point inspection before they’re passed as fit to be sold, but the warranty offered varies between 12 and 24 months, with no mileage limitations.
The second tier is for cars no more than six years old with less than 130,000km (80,800 miles) on the clock. The warranty for these is much more limited as it covers only the drivetrain (engine and transmission) and interestingly cars with the temperamental DuoSelect automated manual box aren’t eligible for the programme. This second-tier warranty is called Maserati Limited Certified Pre-Owned, while the newer cars get Maserati Certified Pre-Owned cover for greater peace of mind.
